When you like a band this much you don't think, "Damn, they've really screwed up this time." You think, "They're great. They're just ... moving on. Can't expect them to do the same thing their whole lives now can you?" Still, that didn't encourage me enough to pick up the new Beastie Boys album. Besides, the only version I can find in KL is the 'Clean Lyrics Nothing Silly' version. I was led to believe that they've, umm, sworn of swearing with this album but then there's this version too. What gives?

Thanks to whoever downloaded my mix CD. You're my bestest friend ever! Inspires me a whole lot more to come up with another one as soon as possible. I've already got a couple of tracks in mind; I just need to allocate a nice, long weekend to put it together.

And for those who asked – YES, I USED A PC! Happy?

I have a new hobby! Making mixtapes! And I'm calling my first one the 'Mass Distraction Sessions Vol 1'. You got a better title? Please send me an e-mail.

Please please please download it and tell me what you think. There's something for everyone – from hip-hop to electro, psychedelic rock to psychedelic funk, post-punk to IDM. Pardon the mixing though (or lack thereof). Everyone's gotta start somewhere.

It's here by the way, under Aural Prostitution.

In other news, Shhh... at the Victoria & Albert Museum is the type of exhibition I would've loved to visit if I was still in London. David Byrne soundtracking the toilet (!) and Ceramics room? And Elizabeth Fraser for the Raphael gallery? Wowee zowee. It's exactly the kinda thing I used to do myself – I never go to the Tate Modern without some Mark Hollis or Boards of Canada in my iPod.

I'm going to Singapore next week for a day trip to CommunicAsia 2004. Duh. I hate travelling to places that I have no desire to see. All in a day's.
