What The F**k – Part 1
Fugazi's been to Kuala Lumpur before?! Huh?! I mean, Fugazi, you know? In the land of 'Super Sapiens' and dress codes for Linkin Park? Really odd, considering how most international bands usually only know about Singapore or Japan when it comes to Asian countries, let alone South-East Asia.

What The F**k – Part 2
Right, so you've heard of post-rock, glitch-hop, rap-rock, emo-rap, trip-hop and polka'n'bass. But you ain't ready for avant-hop collage-pop!

In unrelated news, I quite like this website – it's called the pants press sketchblog.

Just for fun, these are twelve of my favouritest songs ... ever!

808 State – Lopez
Crooklyn Dodgers '95 – Return Of The Crooklyn Dodgers
Yusef Lateef – Love Theme From Spartacus
Massive Attack – Unfinished Sympathy
Curtis Mayfield – Move On Up
Pete Rock & CL Smooth – One In A Million
Photek – Ni Ten Ichi Ryu
Portishead – It Could Be Sweet
Nitin Sawhney – Tides
DJ Shadow – Midnight In A Perfect World
Elliot Smith – Needle In The Hay
Talk Talk – New Grass

I've actually had this list since last June but I left it till now cos, knowing how I get bored easily, I wanted to see if I'd add or remove any of the songs. In the end I only added one, which was 'Needle In The Hay'. So, yes. This is my definite top twelve of all time.

Haven't been out for the past couple of weekends on the pretence that, "I need to save money!" and, "Nah, not into that DJ." Frankly speaking I've just grown out of it. I feel awful every time I drink. I get emotional and start talking crap. And if I drove that night it would also mean having to figure out which roads to take so we won't get stopped by the cops. Not because I'm afraid of getting fined for being drunk (I never am if I'm driving), but because I don't want to have to pay the fucking bribe just so they can get off my back (Malaysia's nice like that). Then there's the going to bed at 5 am and waking up to a hot and humid half-gone Sunday. So there. The partying and debauchery is all behind me now. Whatever there was of it in the first place.

Anyway, I'm probably gonna be laughed at by some of you cool dance music heads out there, but I just recently discovered one of the most exhilarating, genuinely euphoric tunes that I've ever heard – Underworld's 'Two Months Off'. Yes, a bit late I know. So I ain't cool like dat. I like it so much I have it burnt onto a CD so it plays automatically at 7:30 every morning.

More music – Ghostface Killah's new joint, The Pretty Toney Album, is an absolute banger. I'm quite sure Kanye West has got a couple of tracks in there, just don't know which ones. Wanna bet that when Pitchfork gets round to reviewing it, they're gonna slap at least an 8.0 rating on it? Watch this space.

The last time my CDs from Djangos got lost in the mail, I swore I was never gonna buy anything from them again. Then I came back to Malaysia, and they became my one and only source for relatively inexpensive music. Met up with Michelle earlier this month when I was in Singapore on an assignment and, having not seen each other since we left London, couldn't wait to talk about everything music when I concurred that Djangos is, like, the bestest thing ever. Michelle promptly replies, "I told you!"

The next thing I know, my latest order gets cancelled because they couldn't obtain credit authorization for it.

Note to self – next time, keep mouth shut and don't jinx it.
